'Harrys Gym' are a Norwegian band that may not be the best at English punctuation, but are certainly good at writing great, English language, pop songs. Actually, they probably deserve some credit, as it was an abandoned gym in the same building as their rehearsal space, that they took their name from. I somehow came across them and downloaded their second album 'What Was Ours Can't Be Yours' which came out earlier this year. The album is a well blended mix of classic pop and electronica. Dream-Pop may be a good way to define them. "Toothpaste" may not be as instantly appealing as some of the other tracks from the album.... however, the live, more acoustically driven version on the video below, reveals an earthly beauty that made me realise it deserved more notice.
