The Watson Twins are a Los Angeles based Alt-Country/Folk duo. Identical twin sisters Chandra and Leigh Watson first came to my attention in 2006 when they collaborated with Jenny Lewis on 'Rabbit Fur Coat', which was one of my favourite albums of that year. "How Am I To Be" is from their 2008 album 'Fire Songs' and the album was proof that they could be as impressive out front as they were as backing singers. Their strength is obviously vocals and harmonizing and on "How Am I To Be" they play homage to the old soul sound of the 60's, while still keeping true to their alt-country/folk traditions. A little bit on the soft side.... but definitely worth a listen.
