The Broken Heartbreakers are an Auckland based indie folk band with three albums under their belt. They have only just released their third album 'Wintersun'.... however, this blog is about a song from their previous self titled album. "Pretty thing" is a beautiful folk pop song with nice harmonies. As with the whole album, it has minimal arrangements but with plenty of melody. They record completely using analogue equipment and usually in single takes.... and that comes through in their country tinged folk-pop songs that will stand the test of time.
