Shane Macgowan released his first solo album 'The Snake', which featured "That Woman's Got Me Drinking" in 1994 and it was great to hear this great artist back in top form. There was no doubt at all that the Pogues were just going through the motions at the later part of their existence and the 'Hell's Ditch' album was a testament of that. He had a new backing band 'The Popes', which actually featured Johnny Depp on guitar on this song. We all know that he doesn't need a reason to drink and here he is not talking about a few gins... but bottles and bottles of gin. A great song that only Shane Macgowan could have written.
