Auckland punk outfit Die! Die! Die! have been remixed. I never would've thought this song would get the remix treatment. It has been done well though.... it hasn't turned it into an unrecognisable dance floor anthem, thankfully. The original song is from their debut self titled album, which was recorded and mixed in Chicago by Steve Albini..... and would be no surprise to any Big Black fan. "Ashtray! Ashtray!" is a full-on highly intensive punk rock song. And while it has aggressive shouting vocals (which are fantastic, by the way), the band is as tight as a Michael Cullen budget. Enjoy! Enjoy!
